A workshop giving some context to the current conflict in Gaza from a radical social justice perspective
Palestine 101
Israel's attacks on the Gaza strip have killed more than 1,000 people.
World governments are sitting on their hands--refusing to intervene.
If you are trying to figure out what the hell is going on by consuming mainstream American Media, you are probably very confused.
Students for a Democratic Society-UH have invited some local Palestinian organizers and scholars to break down the history and social geography to help explain how it has resulted in this situation. They will also help chart a path towards justice and peace in Palestine.
Following the presentation we'll have questions and adiscussion about what can be done locally.
