Library Information

Sedition Books has a lending library consisting of books, zines and pamphlets on various topics (including political theory/analysis, feminism, radical history, vegan/vegetarian cookbooks, D.I.Y. manuals, labor movements, earth and animal liberation, social science, etc.). We also have a small collection of radical films on DVD & VHS.

The People's Library

Anyone is welcome to read library books at the space, however, if you would like to check out books, you must purchase a library membership ($10 per year), and will receive a library card with a membership number. (Your contact information and materials checked out will never be shared with outside parties)

Members can check out two books or videos at a time, and will be contacted in about two weeks to see if they wish to keep the item(s) checked-out for an additional two weeks or will be returning them.

Zines/pamphlets from our extensive Zine Library may only be read in-house.

We can always use donations to expand the lending library! Feel free to drop off books, pamphlets or zines of any kind during open hours.

The material will be reviewed by the librarian/collective and either put in the library, sold at the space, or (if it is deemed too out of touch with our mission statement/values) swapped for desired library books or sold elsewhere to acquire much-needed funds for our project.

We hope this library can be a resource for you, and that it can provide access to books rarely found in mainstream libraries (or at least not all in one place).
