8pm Movie - A Huey P. Newton Story

Spike Lee employs his signature technique of combining film and archival footage to tell the story of Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton.

Adapted from Roger Guenveur Smith's award-winning one-man show, the film uses live stage footage to help create a more intimate portrait of a revolutionary's life.

Set during the 80's, the movie takes a look at his late reflections on the black panther movement, his life and the social climate of the U.S. during the Reagan era.

$5 suggested donation.
