Seditious goings on in June

Hey folks,

Sorry for the lack of email communication lately--fortunately the seditionists responsible for the facebook and myspace communication have been more on top of things--but don't think this means that things aren't happening at Sedition these days. Nosiree. In fact tonight we will be screening The Day the Country Died- A history of anarcho punk starring your favorites--CRASS, Flux of Pink Indians, Conflict and many more and there will be food--what more could you possibly want on a balmy Sunday evening? Then later this week, Connecticut folk punks Wood Spider will grace Sedition with their foot stomping presence! Be there!

In other news, we recently dropped a pile of money on a new AC unit for Sedition. Yep, that means when you come to the infoshop to browse the selection or watch a film you won't expire from heat exhaustion--of course this will be somewhat less exciting but we figgered the trade-off was worth it.

Speaking of our growing selection of books, we recently got shipments from Dover Books, Crimethinc, Kersplebedeb, AK Press and See Sharp. Just in time to share them with the vast hordes of people at last weekend's Free Press Summer Fest. Thanks to everyone who dropped by our table, signed up for the announcement list and or bought some buttons, pamphlets or books. Also huge props to the folks at the Free Press who have turned Summerfest into an annual tradition in a scant two years.

Sedition Books is still located at 901 Richmond Avenue (That's one block East of Montrose) and you can call or check out our website for more info: 713.523.0807 or www.seditionbooks.org

You can also look for us on facebook or myspace or follow our news on twitter-just search for seditionbooks.

All events are free but we can always use your donations for the infoshop and the touring bands and speakers.
