The History of Vegetarianism/Veganism in the Americas:

From vegetarian groups in the ancient Americas to one of today's trendiest lifestyles

Author, lecturer, and historical advisor to the North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS), Rynn Berry will be celebrating the release of his latest book "Becoming Raw." His other six books cover topics from histories of vegetarianism to its influence on global politics and philosophy.

Local worker-run food collective Rebel Roots will be preparing a mix of raw food dishes as well as vegan dishes inspired by ancient South and Central American cuisine.

Food served at 7pm, talk begins at 8pm.

Copies of Berry's books will be available for sale. Suggested donation for meal TBA.
