Examine those structures especially as they relate to our local Houston radical community.

The event will feature Son Armado and Son del Valle, who's versions of son jarocho--traditional music from Veracruz, Mexico--express themes of campesino and grassroots struggle and resistance to oppression. Plus we will be playing lotería, which is Mexican bingo, for prizes.

Houston Anarchist Black Cross has been sending free literature to prisoners since 1999, as part of our efforts to struggle against the prison industrial complex. In recent years we've developed a catalog of reading materials, including things like political theory, resources for prisoners, Black Liberation, Chican@, Feminist, and other radical ideas.
